  These are only a few of the many exciting ways you can spend your time at the Upper Kenai River Inn. Let us know what your special interests are and we will be glad to help you plan your visit.

          Day 1
  Arrive in Anchorage. Rent a car if necessary. Revel in the scenic two-hour drive to Cooper Landing. View breathtaking mountains. Look for Dall Sheep along the Turnagain Arm. Look for Beluga Whales near Beluga Point. Watch for numerous glaciers near Portage. Keep an eye out for Bald Eagles and Moose. Arrive in Cooper Landing and check into the unique Upper Kenai River Inn. Relax on your own private deck and watch the world drift by on the mighty Upper Kenai River.

          Day 2
  Pamper yourself each morning with our full gourmet breakfast. Drive to the Russian River Ferry. Take the ferry across the Kenai River. Marvel at and compete in Combat Fishing. Take lots of pictures. See the Dall Sheep on Round Mountain.

          Day 3
  Take a horseback tour and see nature up close. These tours can be short or all day tours depending on you. Guided hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking are also available. Enjoy the scenery and watch for wildlife and take lots of pictures.

          Day 4
  Raft the Upper Kenai River with a local guide. Start at the Kenai Lake bridge and float to Sportsman or Jims' Landing. Fish for Sockeye Salmon, trophy Rainbow or Dolly Varden Trout in season. If you don't fish just drift the river and enjoy the glorious scenery and wildlife.

          Day 5
  Hike about four miles along the Resurrection Pass Trail to see Juneau Falls. The most impressive falls in Alaska. Picnic and enjoy the wilderness.

          Day 6
  Drive to Deep Creek and/or Ninilchik and try a Halibut and/or King Salmon charter in Cook Inlet. On your return trip, dine at Sal's Restaurant in Soldotna or return to Cooper Landing and dine in one of our local restaurants.

          Day 7
  Hike two miles along the Russian River Trail to view spawning Trout and Salmon jump the Russian River Falls. Add another mile and you will reach the Lower Russian Lake. Hike about another seven miles and you will reach the Upper Russian Lake where fish and bears are numerous.

          Day 8
  Take a guided raft trip down the Upper Kenai River through the canyons to Skilak Lake. Fish or just drift and absorb the scenery and the wildlife like Moose, Bald Eagles, Dall Sheep, Beavers, and Waterfowl.

          Day 9
  Drive to Seward and take a Kenai Fjords tour. Cruise the fjords and see Humpback and Killer Whales. There will be Eagles, Sea Otters, Seals, Sea Lions, Dolphins and a visit to several sea bird rookeries.

          Day 10
  Rent a canoe in Cooper Landing or Sterling and thrill to a day on any of the numerous incredibly beautiful local lakes or the Swanson River Canoe Trails. Fish for trout or enjoy viewing the wildlife and waterfowl.

          Day 11
  Drive to Hope and rent a mountain bike. Bike along the Resurrection Trail. Enjoy the wilderness. Fish from the riverbank for Pink or Silver Salmon. Guides are available in Hope.

          Day 12
  Drive to Soldotna, Kenai, Kasilof, Ninilchik and fish the Kenai River, Kasilof River or Cook Inlet for Sockeye, Silver, King Salmon or Halibut. Don't miss the Salmon dip netting at the mouths of the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers. Visit the museum and shops.

          Day 13
  Take a flight seeing tour of the Harding Ice Field or fly to remote lake for day fishing (guided or on your own).

          Day 14
  Drive to Seward and visit the Sea Life Center. Visit the shops. Stop at Exit Glacier where a Ranger will lead you on a guided hike to the face of the glacier. You may choose to make a glacier hike on your own.

          Day 15
  Enjoy breakfast. Pack. Visit the shops in Cooper Landing for last minute shopping. Make the scenic drive back to Anchorage to meet your plane.
